Wholehearted Mindfulness Retreat hosted by

A heart centred retreat of self care and playful discovery for women using a combination of the sciences and the spiritual. October 3rd to 7th 2016

At the end of the 4 days, you will float away feeling refreshed, fueled with positive energy, sparkling with your inner truth and radiating calm as a balanced babe with a renewed sense of purpose about your life along with the tools to make it happen.

You will be taken care of in peaceful and divine accommodation for 4 nights with breakfast included and receive a goodie bag upon arrival (because you are worth that self care). Experience all the teachings, meditations and daily yoga throughout the retreat. Have lunch with your soul sisters every day wherever you want or explore the island as the afternoons are all for you. You can relax, rejuvenate and reconnect with your whole heart. During your stay, you can also take advantage of one therapeutic massage and one individual 1-1 coaching session.

Travel will be booked using our personal travel manager and you will be delivered to the shala with peace of mind.

Monday – Connect and Set Meaningful Intentions
  • Arrive and get acquainted with your divine resting place. Immediately slow down.

  • Position yourself for the week in an intention setting circle and a yoga nidra practice.

  • Eat and be merry with your new soul sisters.

 

Tuesday – Become Aware

  • Start your day with an optional meditation walk along the beach before breakfast.

  • Become aware and explore your mind with compassion using mindfulness techniques and neuroscience.

  • The afternoons are for you. Spend the afternoon in reflection, having your complimentary massage or coaching session, or hanging out with your soul sisters.

  • In the evening, explore your meaning making mind further and release any blocks

  • Yoga releasing practice.

 

Wednesday – Dive Deep

  • Start your day with an optional meditation walk and yoga practice before breakfast

  • Dive deeper into your wholeheartedness with mindfulness and dance.

  • Again the afternoons are for you. Spend the afternoon in reflection, having your complimentary massage or coaching session, or hanging out with your soul sisters.

  • In the evening, reconcile and reconnect with soul sister conversations.

  • Yoga practice.

 

Thursday – Rise Up

  • Start your day with an optional meditation walk before breakfast. 

  • Rise up from your soul and express your wholeheartedness fully in mind and body. Learn ways of sacred (yet practical) self care to stand your sacred ground.

  • Yoga awakening practice

  • The afternoons are for you. Spend your final afternoon in reflection, having your complimentary massage or coaching session, or hanging out with your soul sisters.

  • In the evening, learn ways to take this magical wholehearted feeling with you back into your everyday world.

  • Gratitude ceremony and dance!

 

Friday – Move on and Shine

  • After a yummy breakfast, begin your journey back to your world with a renewed sense of wholehearted self that will shine its light such that others are not afraid to do the same. We can brighten the world with care!

Shannon Young is the Care Factor Coach who wants to banish apathy from the world. She wants people to live expressing their whole heart and that starts with each person practicing sacred self care. Highlights of her everyday life are me-time, volunteer teaching primary school kids about ethics; spontaneous dance parties by herself or with her kids, walking her dog – Izzy, and hugs.

She's been a Executive Coach for over 15 years and thousands of people have attended her workshops to understand themselves, their teams or their organisation. She is not a stuffy Executive Coach, she facilitates highly engaging blended-learning programs and loves to get people on their feet. Her workshops combine the science and the spiritual to foster a unique learning experience where self care is central to growth. For only when we truly value and care for ourselves, can we truly care for others.

 

Her philosophy that guides her workshops is this:

With Special Guest: Nina Alfers of Svastha Yoga – our Yoga teacher and massage therapist

​

Nina is a magnetic woman who exudes a self confidence that comes from happiness within. Nina comes from a background of martial arts and yoga and practices as a massage therapist. She has studied Sociology, Philosophy and Psychology and practiced as a counsellor for some years before embracing her other healing capacities.

Her teaching is centred on practices that use breath and intention to engage your yoga confidently beyond the mat. Applying techniques which involve playful asana, pranayama, meditation, visualisation and lots of fun, she focuses on balancing strength and intention with flexibility and growth in self-awareness and self-exploration. The aim is enhanced alertness and appreciation of both mind and body. Nina’s classes are versatile and detailed, enabling you to thoroughly explore postures and deepen your knowledge of your body’s needs and abilities. In this way, you become self-aware, strong and mindful – great conditions for a healthier life.
